Dennis,
I have not had a chance to think about the description you sent to 
Steve B. but I thought I would give you this info re: fuel distrib's.

If you decide to swap FD's to remedy your problem,these numbers
will help,since the are interchangable. The 0-438-100-123 (which is
in your coupe,if it's after the vin break xxx-D-582) is also used
on the early 1986 5kQ before 7/85 build date.

The 0-438-100-066 also works. It's on early urQ's (before the 
VIN break)and 1980 thru 1983 5KT's. The -123 is a refinement of
the -066,relating to the control plunger (in the center of the FD
head) the -123 works against an added spring instead of just the
control pressure from the warm-up regulator. It's just a tweak that
reduces plunger oscillation occurring on some cars.
