I only know 3 people personally that have Vanagons.  And all
three could be charachterized as Hippies.  Or Tree Huggers, or
Outdoorsy types.  THey all fit, and are all partially true.  But
does it matter.  I'm sure Shayne didn't mean anything bad by the
term Hippie.  I'm a car Freak.  Yea, I'm a freak.  I freely
admit it.  When I met Shayne, he looked like a Hippie Car Freak.
 I dont know why everyone has to jump down someones throat every
time a nationality or behavioral descriptive term comes up. 
Many Vanagon owners are hippies, many aren't, but probably more
are than most car owners.  Thus, more listers probably are as
well.  
  Ok,  Enough babbling.
