Stalling when cold

My 86 5kt did the same thing.  It turned out to be the intercooler to
throttle body hose, AKA the Michelin man hose.  The hose held together to
start the car, but the bad motor mounts caused enough vibration to expose
the crack in the bottom of the hose.
If CIS cars don't get properly metered air they run like crap.
Don't overlook this in your analysis.  Take the hose completely off and
check it for cracks, especially on the bottom.
