S4 questions :)

Ok, been thinking about this the past few days... I currently have a 87 5ktq
that i have chipped and done a few other things to.  Am thinking about
putting in 3" exhaust and cam and new turbo and suspension, then starting
thinking, why go this crazy with the 5k when I can save some $$ for a bit
and go buy a S4 and go from there.  Whats current cost for a Ur-S4?  The 1st
couple years were 5 cyl 20v.. when did they switch to the V6 or is that only
in the 97 and up S4?  What other cars are similar to this car for parts ect
ect.
