No, but during major work on an engine it often happens that _old_
air leaks get fixed.  If the fuel metering head had previously been
mis-adjusted to compensate for the old leak, then it will be incorrectly
set for the (now non-leaking) engine.

It's quite common after complete rebuilds.  We happen to have complete
metering head/air mass sensor assemblies for WRs and MBs on the shelf -
we generally fit one of these first and then swap the old one back in
when we know the engine runs.  We do the same with plug wires, FWIW.
