Mirror adhesive

My brother used to install windshields. If I remember correctly, the
LocTite brand is pretty good. Do it outside where UV light will set the
glue. There is probably residue remaining where bonehead knocked the old
one off. Pick a different location to remount the mirror. Don't even
bother trying to scrape off the old glue, as it's probably a futile
effort. Oh, and glue just the mounting "tab", and then let the glue set
up for 24 hours, preferably out in the sun as long as possible.
