Well, after FINALLY talking my mother into buying an A41.8TQ
this summer, what happens....
It strands her in Greenwich, CT over the labor day weekend.
Her oil pressure light came on as she arrived at her destination.
Oil level is fine, no obvious leaks/faults.
We all know it's likely a wiring problem with the sender,
but the book says not to drive it any more. She called Audi
and they towed it to Pray Audi in Greenwich. Unfortunately,
it was 4:00 on friday by then, so no one could look at it.
She had to rent a car to get home, and will have to drive
back to CT this week to get it.
A couple of questions: first, what are the odds this is in
fact a pump failure, not a wiring fault? Second, does anyone
have any input on Pray Audi? She didn't seem very impressed
by them, but it could have been the holiday hours.
