Stroker

Eurovans up to 93 have a compression ratio of 8.5 to one.. The later models use 10.0 to one. The block I got for my 2.5 turbo had pistons with a dish similar to the early turbos. Later pistons have a dish that resembles the high compression 2.3's .. The eurovan block lacks the oil cooling jets under the cylinder bores, is missing a distick tube mount and a rear heater outlet flange. All can be machined (as I did in mine)..

Can someone tell me what the stroke of the eurovan 5 cylinder is (I have
looked online for hours now to no avail)? Am I correct in assuming that
there are no clearance problems and also in assuming that the journal
dimensions are equal? Lastly, will the crank work in the 7A and the 3B? My
concern with this swap is the catastrophic piston speeds that will result
from the hugely oversquare nature of the bore/stroke ratio. Thanks for your
 help listers.

The stroke of the crank is 95.5mm. It will fit in any 5 cylinder block,
but using stock rods, custom pistons will be needed to make up for the
difference in the stroke. The easiest way to do this is to simply swap the
whole block over from a Eurovan, but in a turbo application the 10:1
compression will be too high. The pistons could be machined to lower
compression. Eurospec offers a complete kit including pistons, rods, crank
and all components necessary to complete the swap. They also offer complete
bottom ends assembled with the required compression. If you are intersted in
these products let me know off list. HTH,
Javad
