I've just gotten my struts, and am getting ready to do
them.  I looked in the Bentley, and I see what you
mean.  It looks like lower spring retainer will go on
upside down, but that seems VERY obvious to be wrong. 
Probably explains why the mech. in the last post went
Oops and changed it.  You should be able to see that
it's wrong right away.
