Bit of info about V8 5000 bi-TURBO Quattro!!!

Yes that is right, there were several V8 5k Bi-TURBO quattros actually
built.  When i was doing my alignment last night with Dad, i mentioned the
Turbo V8 that was posted on E-bay and he said that Audi actually built a 5k
V8 with Bi-Turbo and used them for testing in california in the desert.
Apprently it was the 5k chassis with the new V8 (at that time) installed
with all kinds of goodies.  He said he only got to drive it around the
parking lot and that it was pretty ragged at that point after being abused
quite heavily.  He thinks they were sent back to Germany.  One can imagine
just how wild this thing was if they cooked it up for testing and have all
the resources of the factory to do it with.  *WOW* comes to mind.

Another thing,  about the turbo V8.... according to Dad, there was a turbo
version of the V8 quattro offered in Europe from the factory!!!

vacation starting tomorrow for the next 12 days or so...
