No disrespect intended, Pat, but what did you expect for $1500?

Used car dealerships are *generally* churn and burn operations...they pick
up cars at auction or get them from dealerships who *wouldn't* risk selling
them to their customers.

And what could they have paid for a car that they're retailing for $1500? I
think your expectations were a bit out of line :)

When I was looking for my wife's A6, we visited the used car lots next to
Clair Audi...one was a very classy operation that had a nice range of high
end cars (Mercedes, Audis, etc), (with prices to match), and a second that
sold sh*t on a high pressure basis.

I ended up buying my A6 from Rietzl Audi, got an extra year's warranty with
it (Audi certified vehicle), *and* have a sales rep (Dennis Carroll) that 2
months after the sale is *still* working for me. Just last week he called to
let me know that he found a couple of remotes for the remote locking system,
as promised.

Will I shop at used car dealerships again? Sure. Will I buy there? Probably
not.

Will I make my first calls to Dennis at Rietzl and the guy that sold me my
(used) Range Rover at Land Rover Hanover? Absolutely.

Lee
