Sighting on I-66

Driving home tonight I saw a pair of bright yellow lights coming behind me.  
At first, I thought someone had left their foglights on, but as the car came 
up alongside it turned out to be a true European Audi 100, maybe late 80's, 
small bumpers...possibly quattro (didn't have the straight torsion bar 
suspension) and yellow headlights with the rectangular license plate.  The 
back taillights looked just like the Audi V8's.  This was heading west on 
I-66, about 30 miles out of DC.  Very interesting!
