Didn't know if anyone on the list might be interested in this item, but thought I'd pass it along. Not too many of these left, and it seems to be for a good cause. Tom

Item Description:
Here's your chance to get a great deal on a dependable ride and benefit the American Cancer Society all at the same time. This car is, and I stress this, nowhere near in "excellent" overall condition. It has been re-painted by someone (before I purchased it) that did not know what they were doing. To make it right, it would need an entire re-paint. The body, however, is very straight and almost 100% rust-free. The car's interior is in decent shape. The seats and door panels are almost perfect, with just a little sun fade. The dash has a few cracks and the carpet is a little loose in some places. There are no floor mats. There is no stereo, but, the wiring for one is in place.Mechanically, however, this car is quite solid. I completed a 24-hour journey in it with absolutely no hint of problems. I have replaced many common Audi wear items such as the fuel pressure regulator and the front upper strut mounts. The car cranks up perfectly hot or cold and NEVER dies on!
you unless you don't know how to drive a manual shift car. The AC does not work, but a compressor rebuild would not cost too terribly much. This car will EASILY hit 100 on the highway (or in traffic if you're daring), and feels as peppy as any 110-odd horsepower car should. The brakes work flawlessly, and I'm including new front discs (see extras below).Extras I'm Including (IN TRUNK -- NOT INSTALLED):* New Front Brake Discs -- Ones on the car are a little warped, but it still stops very well. A professional mechanic should be able to install these in less than 1 hour (it takes me about that same amount of time.)* New Heating System Hoses -- These should be installed when the new heater core (see below) is installed.* New Heater Core -- The car heats well, but, this is a common problem with these cars and I know the one on it is about to go. This part is alone worth about $100 or more.* New V-Belts -- Part of any thorough tune-up, I'm throwing brand new ones in for the!
lucky winner.* 4 New Yokohama Tires -- The ones on the car are el-cheapo and I couldn't bear to leave you with that. These will NOT be installed, but instead sitting in the trunk for you to obtain your own installation at the tire shop of your choosing (usually about $50-60). I will re-paint the rims if you want before you take delivery.* New front CV boot kit -- I just noticed that the LF CV boot is cracked, so I'm throwing this in for the winner to have installed. Happy birthday.* Official Audi Factory Service Manual -- VITAL on any "obscure" car.* Haynes Manual -- Not so helpful, but written in clearer prose for the "shadetree" mechanic.Pickup -- I cannot deliver this car as I do not hold insurance on it. The winning bidder must pick up the car within two weeks of the close of auction unless prior arrangements are made.Payment -- I must receive payment in full within 5 days of the close of the auction, made out to me. This does not mean you must mail it within 5 day!
s -- it means it must be in my hands in 5 days. I will accept Paypal if you have enough credit to do that or I will accept Bidpay or just a regular ole money order or cashier's check. NO PERSONAL CHECKS. THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION AND IT WILL GO TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER SO DO NOT BID IF YOU DON'T WANT TO OWN THIS CAR.Warranty -- This is a 1983 so it is obviously sold as-is.Charity -- All net proceeds (i.e. bid price minus my selling / marketing costs) will be donated to the American Cancer Society. My mother lost her battle to cancer on December 13, 1999 and this donation is in her honor.KEEP IN MIND -- THIS CAR IS NOT WORTH A WHOLE LOT OF MONEY -- DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE BIDDING $2000 ON IT -- I RECOMMEND USING KELLY BLUE BOOK - www.kbb.com - AND KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS CAR IS QUITE ROUGH AROUND THE EDGES! I have more photos that I will on request e-mail to you.HAPPY BIDDING - PLEASE E-MAIL ME IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS!
