Audi vs. Subaru

Add to that the Q's immediate traction reaction due to the 50/50 torque split vs. the Subaru AWD system that allows some slip before sending the torque towards the rear wheels (BTDT) and the quattro advantage in all "true" quattros (don't know how well the Haldex system in the TT works) really shines. THis is most noticable when taking off trying to enter traffic in slick situations. I find I can depend on a Q, not the Sube which slips for a second instead of taking off.

I just have to say, that after driving my 'new' 87 Subaru turbowagon now for
3 months, I really have come to appreciate the quality of my 1300 dollar 86
4kq. The car is solid, shifts nicely, and is much quieter than I realized.
Ya, the electricals are somewhat foul and the engine idles like a pack of
nervous rats, but that sweet 5 cyl. sound and the good torque band really
redeems itself in a hurry. My dream car? 5ktqw, jacked up about 3 inches
for ground clearance. I can only imagine a turbo coupled to the 5 cylinder.
Good low-end torque with high-end passing power. Oh, and no cooling problems
like my Subaru, either...:)
