The previous poster was me, and #2 could possibly put VW in a bad place, 
esp. if there's a recession in the near future (gee, ya think?) Of course if 
that happens, it'd be easy for VAG to Americanize some Polos and Lupos I 
guess.

Of course it could just be my teenage reminissing of hot hatches gone 
bye-bye in favor of the oxymoronic sport yoots.  Ya see, my very first car 
was a '83 GTI (rabbit, not golf) and it was absolutely awesome. Fast 
(kinda), fun, handled well, looked good (kinda), comfy, economical...

Honda Civics are close, but require sufficient aftermarket goodies to reach 
Si standards. So now what do we have? Hyundai Accent w/aftermarket go-fast 
stickers? Toyota Prius, perhaps the stupidest car in its price range? Daewoo 
(or won't woo)?

No.  Don't think so.

My kingdom for a Lupo GTI/Renault Clio/Peugeot 206!

Last Vdub bashing: what's with the Eurovan? Could it be any more expensive?
