A few notes on parting out vehicles.

I am always on the look out for parts for my '93 90S, nothing major,
just the niggling little things like all of us have and would like to
fix.

As far as I can remember four seperate times, somebody has posted that
they have a '93-95 90 series vehicle that has been in an accident and
they are willing to part out the vehicle. I can't say for sure whether
it was the same person each time, as my memory isn't that great, and I
didn't save the emails.

At least four seperate times, I have sent an email to the poster with a
wish list. Sometimes I get no response at all, and the other times, I've
gotten an acknowledgement, but the person never follows through.

So what's the point of this soap box preaching???

If you are going to post that you are parting out a car, first make sure
that you actually will be able to part out the car, this means having
access to the vehicle and being willing to pull all the obscure parts
that people will request from you.

Otherwise, just keep silent and let the vehicle go to the great Audi
graveyard. I'm getting thoroughly sick of being promised parts, and then
never hearing from the person again. AND YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!

OK, getting down from the soapbox now, and putting on the Nomex from
head to toe.
