Narrower tires are better for snow. Higher profile provide better
protection in snow as well, and elongate the contact patch
longitudinally. COmmonly accepted, and proven in my experience, that
it (-1) is a superior snow combination.
Going even further, the 45-series OEM tramline and offer little
protection against potholes, chuckholes, and debris. While I have no
plans to change them, I'm not so sure the 17' wheels are such a great
idea. when they must be paired with 45-series sidewalls.
