my .02 on this subject.  If you live in VT and your heater works by Audi
enthusiast standards (meaning that the frost doesn't accumulate too much
on the insides of your windows) your seat heaters are the most efficient
way to keep warm.  My driver's side works about as well as my heater.  It
never gets hot but it thaws the ice.  Probably around 60 degrees.
