5k tranny: speedo and throttle controls

These are the two areas I'm still confused about. My '84 5kT has an 
electronic speedo w/ the sensor loacted on top of the AT. I was told there 
is a speedo cable on the MT's. Is this true for both NA and turbo MT's, or 
does the turbo MT use an electronic speedo as in the turbo AT. If not, how 
can I convert the MT to electronic speedo or vice-versa?...aftermarket 
parts?...

the other thing is the accel. linkage. I'd really like to keep my own, and 
just connect the cable direct to one of the ball joints on my throttle 
body, rather than connecting to the AT lever. I'd like to do this b/c 
buying a new valve cover, throttle body, will be too expensive. thanks.
