Ok, here in Norway we have to have the lights on all the time (24h), and
the bulbs last for 2+ years if they are of standard wattage. High-watt
bulbs usually are of cheaper quality, and will not last as long. Also the
higher watt rating means more heat, which of course cuts the life span.
60/55 are enough if they are from a good quality brand (Philips, Osram,
Sylvania, GE)
