coupe gt windscreen

ok, i bought the bullet and rung around for a new windscreen, first quote
was £89, not bad i thought, try another for comparison - £109, ok "how much
just to fit the screen if i supply the glass?" - - - £55, bit steep i
thought.
    so i bit the bullet and decided to do it myself, i figured the easiest
way to do it would be to cut the screen out of my car and my spare car, so i
would need a new seal.
    "hello afn audi" answered the phone.
    "how much for a 1984 coupe gt windscreen seal please?"
    much searching,  "£91 sir"
    "no, i want just the seal, not the windscreen"
    "that is just the seal!"
    "HOW MUCH?"
    "£91 sir"
    "ok, i'll leave that then"

so i figure if im careful i should be able to save and reuse one of the
seals.
How can they justify that much for a piece of rubber when i can have the
whole thing fitted for less?

Just my grumble to the world!
