RCD Phantom cloaker? Snake oil?

I don't know. I am hardly an expert on the subject but I did read a
reputable (popular science maybe?) article on how the radar works.
There was something about a radar jammer (possibly the one referenced in
the initial post) but it went on about emitting some sort of signal from
your car, which would get mixed in with the radar beam going back to the
police car and hence confuse the radar gun. Sounds kind of like
Robert's point #1 but you aren't trying to overpower the radar, just
give it mixed signals. I have no idea how well it works and I wasn't
intrigued enough to look into it further. Anybody else hear of this?
