Haynes manual oddity

I keep a Haynes manual at home for day to day use.  A friend has the
Bentleys and he will lend them to me whenever I need them.

Going through it today I noticed something a bit curious.  On the cover
it states that it covers 1984 thru 1988 all 2WD gasoline models.  Inside
there is no mention anywhere of the quattro drivetrain.  But, on page
300 there is a diagram  showing how to remove the center console frame
from the car and on the console they are removing is a diff lock switch
and the two images of the drivetrain (you know, the ones with the lights
to show your diffs are locked).  They are using a diagram of a quattro
console.

Just thought that was kind of curious especially considering that it is
a diagram and not a photo.  Were they using a quattro for reference but
decided to exclude any info on the quattro?
