Probably a waste of time to have one made up.. it only cost me $60 for one
new. The tool you need is VAG #2084. Try Zelenda tools in NY.

basically the tool looks like this (bad ascii):

The top part grabs onto the bracket for the "bump stop" that prevents the
engine from rocking forward under acceleration and the bottom part is
circular and fits inside the harmonic balancer. The -- inside the circle is
the "key" that is cut out of the top of the circle to grab the corresponding
raised section in the harmonic dampener. Works great... The positioning of
the key IS important since it allows for the engine to be at TDC.....
