AM Radio Static

This probably sounds odd , but I occasionally have the same "frying eggs"
noise when on AM in my original Audi radio.  I get rid of it by cycling
the rear window heater switch On then Off... Maybe the heater wiring is
used as an AM antenna, and the relay is inducing some noise into it.  
I TOLD you it would sound odd :>)
