All European cars on the European market have only one rear foglight, but many
(or even most) Japanese cars have two foglights. I dont know why, but there is
no law (AFAIK) that mandates only one light.
Anyway, there is no way to mistake the rear fog lights for brakelights, IMHO.
The loght output is about twice that of the brake light, even though both use a
21 watt bulb. It's all in the reflector/lense.
But anyway how you find the use for it, DONT USE IT when there is NO NEED for
it! If you cant see the tail lights on the car that is onyl 100 feet in front of
you on the highway going 50+ mph, then there is a good reason for using the rear
fog light. NO TIME ELSE!
