Timing is everything...

As far as I know, the 88 timing is set by the computer, based on the 
flywheel position. So...if the timing belt is not put on quite right, 
the timing will appear to be incorrect when checked on the cam 
pulley. Get the cam and crank  properly oriented and everything 
should be fine.
