arcane speakers...any experience

I've heard of them and they seem to be respectable. They do tend to market
along the same lings as Rockford Fosgate -- ie. toward the SPL people
rather than SQ people (read: louder rather than detail oriented). BUT,
like most speaker manufacturers, have several lines of speakers, so my
previous statement might be a tad general.

There has been mild discussion on rec.audio.car (RAC) in the past about
them, none bad to my recollection. To note, I have NOT auditioned them
myself. Of course, that's what I'd suggest to anyone -- gotta go and
listen!

As for drop-in componentry, there are plenty of places to get tweeters,
5.25 mids and 8" woofer combos. Just gotta look around. Email me if you'd
