uprated wishbone bushes pt2

i have eventually finished one side of  the car,  (84cgt) the   bushes, as
mentioned earlier were made from dimensions circulated on the list in sep
last year for  the urq. the bushes fit, no probs. the only thing is the
wishbone can now slide front-rear and vica-versa, which results in a bang,
upon braking and acceleration. this movement would originally have   been
damped by the moulded rubber bushings. anyone have any experience with
this???  my plan is to take up most of the gap equally with polypropolene
washers,          this will reduce movement and reduce any shocks. doesb
this sound like a good idea??? that movement (about 10mm) cant be right, how
do bought items work??????? thanks
