Subject: RainX - another testimonial

Jan,

My experience also with Rain-X. It has been interesting
following this thread, how many people swear by it, how many
hate it. It seems that the majority like it. They also seem
to enjoy applying it regularly. My car is lucky to get
detailed twice a year - and that's when I give the windows
attention, inside and out. Otherwise, it is the occasional
washing, topping up the windshield wash bottle, wipe the
grime off the wiper with a medical alcohol swab, replace
wipers once a year. The only regular maintenance here, the
alcohol wipe, takes all of ten seconds, about once a month.
And it's free.

Once the Rain-X has degraded, IME about three weeks, you are
obligated to renew it, esp. if you want to see on a rainy
night (50-50 chance here in the PacNW). I hate it when my
car obligates me to do anything. I fix door handles, window
switches, door locks, odometers, dash lights, cruise
controls, etc., - when I WANT to.
