I've got a Dremel tool already and think it will come
in handy for lots of cutting projects in this turbo
swap.
Soundz like you did the airbox mod a la Dave Close a
few years back. I have his write-up on the swap and
Javads, and am using both as a "roadmap" for this swap
(Thanks guys !). I would prefer to find a UrQ airbox
although I know they are very expensive. If not I'll
do the stock airbox cut such as you did (Post some
pics on this !!). While at the junkyard recently I
picked up an airboot from an Saab 900 turbo. Looks
like it will fit perfectly on the Audi CIS metering
head with a nice
downward exit turn angled toward the turbo. Maybe a
little too tall though, we'll see....
