There was an aftermarket turbo kit for the 4000 called callway? but is
rare. A guy on this list, I believe his name is scott has one. The best bet
and most common is to swap a 5000 turbo mc engine. Stock is 160 hp, but can
be upgraded to around the 300 range(turbo,chip,exaust,cam,manifoldect..)
The 1991 200 20 valve and 92-96 s4/s6 20v can fit but cost much more. A
good 5000T engine, ecu and wirinh harness can be had for under 1000. The
20Valve stock has 227 hp and is good up to the 430 range, but dont expect
to find one much under 4000. Intended Acceleration has built a few .The
bset thing to idealy do is swap a urq/tcq engine. It is mostly bolt in. I
have been researching and planing a turbo conversion my self. The key to
sucess is planing. I have lots lots more info. I have a 4000csq that I am
cleaning up for a future turbo conversion. I you would like more info email
me.
