[V8] Ignition Switch gone bad? 1990 V8q

Yep.  Dead switch.

I posted one to the V8 list a couple of years back.  Don't do this without
the V8 repair microfische or manual.  Follow each step exactly up until it
tells you to remove the glove box side.  Ignore that and pull the steering
column out instead.  One could possibly do this in 4 hours the first time.
I took longer, but that is because I tried to skip some steps and NOT
follow ALL the directions.  When I gave in and followed them to the letter,
it went smoothly.  If you have any questions after reading the
instructions, let me know.

Be sure to get the replacement lock cylinder rekeyed to match your existing
keys BEFORE you start the process.  The dealer will tell you it can't be
done; that's BS.  A competent lock smith can do it for less than $30, BTDT.
