A/C Compressor

Rod - Since you have had the seals go out on each compressor unit you have
had replaced, it would seem like there is possibly something in the A/C
system that is contaminating the compressor oil. One would assume that the
system was correctly cleaned before each replacement. This would leave the
possibility of a component that is having an internal corrosive breakdown
and causing continual compressor oil contamination, items such as
evaporator, condensor, receiver/dryer, pressure switch, hoses (yes, hoses
can degrade internally). Having seen this problem before, the fix was to
replace all the hoses, replace the receiver/dryer, flush and clean the
other parts very well, and then reinstall the parts, hoses and compressor.
This leaves you with an almost new system, and you should not have problems
causing the seal to leak.
