5k/100 euro lights into 5kcstq/200

The euro lights are in... and they're not terribly exciting.
The plating on one is visibly better than the other (they're used), and
indeed the bad one puts out a bit less light with less of a sharp
cutoff. Overall, they're about as bright as my turbo DOT lights but
better defined. Not exactly all that I had could hope for. I suppose
most people are going from really bad DOT lights to brand new euros...
and doing relays at the same time...
I haven't installed relays, partly because I haven't gotten around to
sourcing them and partly because I wanted to see the apples-to-apples
comparison. There's a 1.1V drop from the jump-start post to the positive
wire to the headlight, which does give a lot of room for improvement.
And now the inevitable question:
The turn signals flash very slowly--and irregularly--when the headlights
are on. Any ideas?
I have rewired the corner lamp for "marker flash," but I made that
change on the old lights and it worked fine (they do flash properly,
just very slowly).
Thanks,
- Wallace
