Try to swap positions on the red and yellow wire. I'm not sure if it is
relevant to your Coupe, but it is a known "problem" in newer VW and Audis.
There is no difference in voltages, so your radio should work. YOu could also
check things with a multimeter, to see if you got power. The fuse might have
blown? I blew the radio fuse when I installed my radio, and that puzzled me a
bit. No, I did not disconnect the battery.
