1988 5KSQ: Interior lights won't turn off

It sounds like you dome lamp controller has gone bad- that happened to me
as well- drained my battery before I realized it.

For some reason, my interior lights won't turn off.  At first, the interior
lights (dome and footwell) would sometimes come on while driving.  I would
sometimes hear a faint buzzing from the left side of the dash.  Didn't quite
sound like a short, but...  The problem rapidly progressed to where the
lights will not turn off 99% of the time when the key is out and the doors
are closed.  I removed the dome light bulb, but have left the footwell
lights alone (for now).  The door switch doesn't seem to be the problem
because it stops "dinging" if the door is closed with the keys in.  The only
other electrical issue seems to be that charging my cell phone using the
cigarette lighter causes major interference on AM radio.

Is there any way to temporarily deal with this until I can get it into a
shop?
