slick 50 -> Italian cars

Tess hi,

The russian made car was in fact engined with a motor that was designed by
FIAT in the early 60s.
And is still notorious for leaking too (apart from suffering from premature
wear of valve guides)

Anyway.
Italian cars of the years until mid 90s kept of leaking mainly from their
engines but newer engines are as tight as they can be (at least as far as
leaking oil is concerned)
The Uno Turbo and the Barchetta I had owned were totally leak proof.

I also happen to be extremely fond of Land Rovers.
Now THESE are exceptional motor oil leakers.

A land rover that does not leak is either empty from oil or is getting ready
to break down.
We also use to say in Greece that Landies are like women.
They leak on a regular basis (no diapers though)

Being more serious on the Slick 50 "debate" I have never had a problem of
oil leak either been rectified or getting worse after using this stuff.
But have always had better performance (seat of pants feel though), smoother
running (that is something that you can really feel) and better fuel
consumption (always kept a record of the fuel bills on my cars when I was
using them)

Take care
Pantelis

P.S. Tess my brother used to have an Alfa Romeo GTV and now has an Alfa
Romeo 166 (some people never change ehhhh????)
