Easy John...I'm just going on what various immigrants
to the quake state have said to me...but you do say
that there is no "environmental impact fee" (any
more)...does that mean that at one time there _was_
such a fee?  When was it terminated?  When it was in
force, what did it cost an owner?

As I said at the outset, I don't claim any expertise
on the matter...


But back to the "time limits"...how long must one own
a car (assumed "federal" emissions that meet tests)
_before_ they can "import" the vehicle into the land
of fruits & nuts?
