Why I drive an Audi

I travel quite a bit for my job. Sometimes I am gone weeks; maybe
even months. I have a husband, animals and a farm. When I am away
from home I miss them. When I arrive home, I see them and tell them
that I have missed them, but now I am home. Strange as it may seem,
I do the same with my '91 2ctq20v.

As soon as jet lag is a remote presence in my mind, I get in my car
and drive. It is an experience that is pleasurable, unique and
thrilling - all at the same time.

I have owned many cars in my lifetime, but none that give me such a
feeling. A feeling that is illogical, hedonistic...why should I feel
this way about a car? But a feeling that I know I will never want to
give up - not for love nor money.

Today, barely back from San Diego, no sleep for 26 hours, no food for
13...I just sat in my car and listened to Beethoven's 9th. And in
exchange for this excellent feeling, I am accompanied by the misery
that the only place I can share these statements is on this list ;-)
