Why I drive an Audi

Well, here's my story:
It started in 1984, when I was 4 years old. My parents bought an 1981
Audi 100 with 1.8 liter engine.. I found it funny that the car was so
large that it didn't fit into our garage, and it even had an economy
meter that was funny to look at - it went up and down all the time..
:-)
That car was replaced 3 years later with an BMW. Nice looks, severly
underpowered. That BMW was replaced with a Toyota Corolla..
At the same time, my father owned a '77 80L. I later got it, but 2
years later again, it had rusted to pieces. (it was really rusted when
my dad bought it several years earlier)
I then bought a '87 100CC Turbodiesel. Perfect interior, but cracked
cylinder head and lots of dents and scratches. Fixed it up, got it
repainted and sold it 2 years later for three times as much as I paid
for it.. Nice car, got great mileage, but two things made me sell it -
it lacked quattro, and I don't really like the pre-88 type 44
interior..
Got a '90 200TQ from a friend of mine. All electrical and vacuum had
to be re-arranged, it needed some new bushings too. I still have it,
intend to keep it for a while. Today I smoked the clutch while towing
a trailer.. Great driver, but one inside door panel drives me crazy
with creaking noise.. :-) Chipped, Bilstein etc. etc.
Two weeks ago, I discovered a '90 V8 (thought it was '89, but it is a
'90) with some parts missing from the front (bumper, headlights and
right fender). I fell in love with the platinum gray leather interior,
and bought it. For some reason, it has had the engine and transmission
replaced at an Audi dealer 75000 kms ago.. (can anyone tell me WHY
Audi just installed a plug, not a dipstick in the transmission??)
I can say too that the 5k rims will fit over the UFO brakes, but not
any good. You can install them and park the car, but not drive it..
:-)
