Can anyone tell me about EARLY 5kt?

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone can tell me, or tell me about a site about the
early 5kt. The very early one from 80-83, but I'm not sure if there was a
turbo in all those years. I've seen a few in the boneyard, they have no
intercooler I know. I think somewhere I heard that it has 7:1 compression
and no knock sensor but I don't remember for sure. Anyone have all the cool
data? Compression, stock boost pressure, stock ignition timing? Is this
engine just as strong as the newer ones (can I run 20psi boost without
problems like I could with a new one)?

Thinking of taking this block with the NG/NF head, knock sensing ignition
and EFI and building a turbo racing beast, or a supercharged street beast.
