this DOT/Euro harness onto my existing harness, just snip off the DOT 9004
style female plugs, and solder the DOT style "euro" harness on.. the junked
200TQ was running 55w H3's, and 55w H4's.. ...so if they were running it
like that on that car - with the DOT style wiring, without any relays, then
it must have worked, im thinking.

Chris,
With all of the Eurolights you've had for sale I'm sure you've wired a few,
but my guess is that the current setup is off. The euro cars I've seen have
not had a 4 prong connector but the "standard" 3 prong H4, plus the city
light line and an H1 line.
Having converted a 9004 to an H4, I can tell you many combinations will
cause the lights to illuminate, but only 1 will work correctly. My guess is
your highs may be right but the lows are wrong (check you volts through the
bulb, I bet its low). Someone posted this same problem last week. If you
don't have a schematic, you need to go through all the combos, 9 I think, to
see which gives proper hi and low beam operation. I would also relay them
directly to the jumper post under the hood. After you get the right setup,
I'm sure the low will be great. Then You can go and jumper the highs so
both filaments glow with the highs on!
Mike
