Partial correction to ye-whom-posted incorrectly...
The late model '93-96 LT-1 motors are aluminum headed (unless fitted into
an Impalla SS) and not total iron motors.  Costs quadrupal when moving from
the LT-1 platform to LS-1 and if you're a real glutton the LT-5 (32v DOHC
ZR-1 motor) can be had for roughly 10x...

FWIW: the LT-1Q did sell and its new owner will be picking up in a couple
weeks.
Someone else now gets to enjoy 'massive gobs of low-tech 'Murican torque!'
in a fine German wrapper.

Next Flyinghead.Com project unknown so far.
