Early 90s 100q Avant opinions

I am in the process of trying wiggle out from under my 1983 ovloV turbo
wagon project (pleading that I have no time for it). My wife loves the
ovloV, of course, and if she had her way it would get restored for her
and it would be a done deal. But, it appears I may have a chance at
winning this little marital scirmish. We are presently looking at early
90s ovloV turbo wagons (740s and 940s) but I couldn't help but notice
that there are a fair number of 100CS quattro Avants (1993 vintage) out
there to be had that are close to the same price range (not a whole lot
more anyway). Case in point is a white '93 100CSq (Avant) with 91k miles
that is really nice for $11.9k asking.
Now, I never really paid much attention to these or the rumblings on the
list about them. I am very comfortable working on ovloV turbos and fear
little from a 740 or 940 wagon. Despite my propensity to look through
Audi kool-aid colored glasses, I am a bit fearful of Audi V6 issues such
as oil leaks, catalytic converters, and the like. I know Scott F. has a
100CSq and loves it (right Scott?). Any good BTDT advice on these would
be greatly appreceated. I would much prefer getting another Audi but
fear it may not serve as well as a mom's taxi as the ovloV might. Also,
wasn't there some issue of an inconvenient third back seat in the 100CS
Avant? Anyway, help and advice on this will be greatly appreceated.
Please do not let this turn into an Audi vs. ovloV thread...I have my
preferences already (no real secret there) but know that a few of us
here own, or have owned, both and seek real BTDT advice.
