    Well I still have my old Escort detectors.  The laser unit works great,
but the last time it went off I already had a $279 ticket, thank you CT
state police.  The laser has only gone off twice, once I got zapped on the
NYS Thruway and luckily he must have been pointing it somewhere else, I was
going rather fast.  I like the security of a radar detector because I have
been saved by the Escorts before, several times.  Though the best way not to
get a ticket is just not speed.  I have slowed considerably on longer trips,
but I still like to go around 85mph, 100 is fairly easy in VT.  The RED
90q20v doesn't help much on being spotted, akin to having a red anything
with wheels and driving by a cop, must be going fast.
