Help with Engine ID

I have a 4 cylinder, 1.8L ??, Engine Code JN. This is in an 84 4KS but the dealer informs me that the 84 engine code should be WT. I have discovered that some of the fuel injection components are 85/87 vintage. Any help in identifying the year/s on this engine and any other pertinent details would be helpful as I am having difficulties and need to know where to look for specs, etc.
