To buy or not to buy.......engine swaps

My 85 4kq is mechanically sound, has some suspension mods, good interior,
220k. The ex liked to hit things, so the body needs some work, but isn't
that bad. Clutch and hydraulics are 2 months old.
I can get another 85 4kq, 140k, eibach & koni's on it, smoked lenses, body
is perfect, for 300 bucks. Needs a clutch, brakes and tires.
I can have a 82 5kt, turbo is bad. I can get three plain 5k's, in various
states of disrepair 84-89 years.
I would like to know if I will have the parts I need to make something out
of the turbo engine for use in the next 4kq. In stock form, I don't think
the work will be worth the hp. gains. Will I be able to use a hydraulic
lifter head? Am I still going to need to put bigger valves in the head?
Will I have the plumbing needed? Regardless of what engine I use, I am
planning on boring it out and buying pistons.
If I am going to still need to buy a bunch of parts, I will probably sell
what I can and see how far I can take a 10v. I don't want a 400hp engine,
getting near 200 would be fine with me.
Some more technical things......
With a Chevy, some cranks are stonger, so are some rods. Changing
combinations of cranks, rods, pistons, and heads alters the compression and
cubes of the motor. What about Audi? I don't have my manuals here, so I
will check on stroke and rod legnth. How about stregnth and weight?
Thanks for your time.
Clint
