Hi all,

I spotted my favourite car for sale locally, an original Dutch-market '88 
90 quattro and decided to investigate. 209k km, black metallic, velour 
sport interior, 2.3 NG engine, OE manual a/c(!), electric mirrors, Audi Duo 
Sound. It has 16" PCW 5-spoke alloys which are not too ugly but I'm pretty 
sure they'll eventually be replaced by my 15" Ronals. In short, test drive 
was fine, it needs a new rad (which I've got lying around anyway, all-metal 
high-capacity flavour) and it needs a water pump as the current one is 
weeping. That made the price impossible to resist however, so I bought it.
This one has all the things done my old '87 needs, and the price was less 
than the sum of the parts needed for the '87. So I'm taking the tow hitch 
off the '87 and I'll put the '87 up for sale as a parts car or fixer-upper. 
Rather an elaborate way to get around a heater core replacement, I know. :-)
As parking space is rather cramped here I'll have to get rid of the extra 
car soon or I'll get into trouble...

Great, soon I'll have the beautiful noise of an I-5 and the joys of quattro 
again- and a/c! Pretty nice that, when it's 35 C and 85% humidity...
