Location - Fault activation??

Thanks for your help.
Based on the various responses I have gotten I suspect I got one of the few models which did not come with any exterior connections to access the fault codes. Further, it is my impression that the Audi dealers were getting alot of "check engine" light complaints and simply removed the bulb. I bought this car when it was near new and have never seen the check engine light displayed. Since I can't imagine them taking apart the instrument cluster to pull the fault codes each time I took the car in for service, I suspect the dealer & subsequent independents have never bothered to check the codes. So much for quality service.
